You can also connect with us through our tribal council or regional organizations. Dakota Plains First Nation is a member of the Dakota Ojibway Tribal Council, and broader inquiries can be directed through DOTC’s central office if needed. However, for most matters – whether it’s about band programs, membership, or community events – contacting our Band Office directly is the best way to get the information you need.

If you are planning a visit to Dakota Plains First Nation, our community is located near the village of Edwin, approximately a 20-minute drive from Portage la Prairie. Visitors are asked to check in at the Band Office upon arrival. We are a small and close-knit community, and you will find everyone to be friendly and helpful.

For media inquiries or any official matters, please write to us at our mailing address or call the office to be directed to the appropriate representative. We do not currently have an official general email or website contact form (as of this content creation), so phone or mail are the primary contact methods.

Thank you for your interest in Dakota Plains First Nation. We look forward to hearing from you! Whether you are a community member needing assistance or a friend seeking to learn more about us, we are here to answer your questions and welcome you into our community.

Please note: This contact information is current as of the latest update; if you encounter any difficulty reaching us, kindly refer to updates from our Band Office or the Dakota Ojibway Tribal Council for any changes in contact details. We appreciate your understanding.
